Steel My Lips

Diego Dalla Palma has arrived in England. How exciting! My favourite products so far include the grey nail varnish, lip gloss and eye shadow. Perfect for this time of year. I'm loving grey and silver nails at the moment. The eye shadow is perfect for a sexy, smokey eye or a light liner. And the grey lipgloss is genius. I accidentally discovered that it looks amazing over red lipstick to give a cold, winter tint. It definitely has a hard edge. x

Freak

Nailed It

First there was Crackle nail polish, now Nail Inc have taken it one step further.. I can't wait to get my hands on their Magnetic Polish which comes in three colours.

TIP: I personally have found that the crackle nail polish looks best with silver or grey. The one I'm wearing in the photographs above is Barry M. Its a little scruffy- its been on for a while of days- but it usually looks great!

His Majesty The Rose

Today I wore my mothers Nicole Farhi jumper with a fragrance of hers also.. Sa Majeste la Rose by Serge Lutens. A scent can reflect your mood and your look. This very is a very natural, floral perfume that I felt went well with the knitted jumper. Make-up wasn't a very heavy feature of my outfit today, for once.

Mascara- Luxury or Necessity?

If I have to chose one piece of make-up to wear, its going to be mascara. I always like to use a full, dramatic mascara to widen my eyes and intensify the colour. Different mascaras look good on different people but my favourite mascara is Dior Show, you can keep layering it all day and it won't get clumpy. I also find the'Night' brush of Day 2 Night, by Rimmel, great too. They both make my eyelashes triple in length and volume.

*Tip: To avoid your eyelashes from joining together, wiggle the brush in a small left to right movement as you move the brush from root to tip of your lashes and never use too much mascara!

Amber Orange

With the colour orange taking over shops this season for both clothes, and make-up, Amber has subtly matched the bright orange strap of her TopShop bra, to her Illimasqua lipstick (shown earlier in the blog).. x

These Urban Decay campaigns really show you how to wear your make-up. I love experimenting with colour, pattern and texture when it comes to make-up. Especially eyes.

Tip**: Here I have used eye shadow Primer Potion help the colours stand out and stay on.

Using two shades of purple, and one blue gives a strong look that I would happily wear in the day.

The Urban Decay palette I have used (shown above) has a gorgeous shimmering, water-like effect that allows the colours to blend and merge together without looking messy. It also has every bright colour you could possibly need.

Big Sexy Hair- Backcomb in a Bottle

Today I took a trip to the hairdressers. They used a new product by 'Sexy Hair' called 'Backcomb in a Bottle'. Big hair is one of my favourite accessories so this is the ideal product for me. Anything to make it messy! The red lipgloss by Lancome paints on like melted plastic. Super strong.

Genifique- C'est Manifique

I have tried this a few times now and love it. The bottle is amazing as well as whats inside it. Using a pipet to put on your morning face cream is always fun. It gives your skin a 'protein' lift makes it feel super soft- like a baby's bottom.

Maniac Rocks . Rock Maniac

This dark purple lipstick adds a bit of Rock 'nd Roll chic to any outfit. Whether its worn with white lace, or a leather jacket. It changes a look completely, so when I start to get bored of an outfit I shake it up a bit with 'MANIAC' by Chanel's Rouge Allure collection and Benefits 'BIG BEAUTIFUL EYES' for natural looking eyes. xx

Juliette Has A Gun.. and so do I

Although I study in London, I am very much a countryside girl. I have been fishing for a couple of years now and have just taken up shooting! The top image is an outfit I wore when I was fishing in Scotland this summer. I love the sport itself, but getting looking the part is definitely half the fun. Traditional country sports wear is mostly green or brown. I jazzed up my cropped, wax Barbour and Dubarry boots with my new Illamasqua lipstick 'BLAZE' and matching nail varnish 'BACTERIUM'. Topping my make-up off with one of my favourite Urban Decay products- 'DEW ME' to keep my make-up on and my complexion looking fresh while I'm wading in the water! The bottom image was taken on a shoot in North Norfolk. I am wearing a very special tweed hoodie made by Tristan Thorne. It has an orange lining.
